Self Help Projects :
One of our goals is to assist in providing
skills that will enable the centre to be as self supportive as
possible. In the past the woman in the church have crocheted various
goods for income generating projects. These funds have assisted the
ladies program, the church and the community in general
A large vegetable garden and fruit orchard
have been planted and all vegetables for the feeding centre are
collected from this garden now.
Within 1/2 mile of the property lies a
large government dam where there is a beautiful Lake that harbours
plenty of Bass that will help to feed the children. Fishing
techniques will be taught to the children.
It is the Hayes goal to build a learning
centre where classes in computer, typing, sewing and woodwork can be
conducted. In addition to this, dairy cattle and poultry will be
purchased to provide protein for the children.
