THE
LAMB
Shepherds
were keeping their tender sheep,
While Mary
watched baby Jesus sleep.
In a weary
stable warmed by the light
Shone round
the Son of God, oh so bright!
From far and
near the Lamb was adored.
His
name...Jesus...Everlasting Lord!
The Savior's
cry was holy and dear,
In His
eyes...a gentle tear.
"Precious Son
of God!" the angels sing,
While someone
is jealous...Herod the King.
He yells and
screams with a voice of fear,
In a dream,
that God lets Joseph hear.
"Herod the
King wants to take your son.
So take Him
gently, rise now and run!"
Joseph
obeyed, and did as God told,
As the
Wisemen searched, so brave and bold.
Mary, to the
Prince of Peace, gave birth.
God sent the
Lamb, from Heaven to earth.
Though born
in a stable, He is the King!
Today all
Christians...His praises ring!
